One of my good friends approached me about making a photo to hang in her bedroom.
She and her husband wanted something sensual, but abstract and conservative enough so that it wouldn't make their kids feel uncomfortable.
She described what she wanted and said she had saved a photo out of a magazine that she really liked.
I asked her to PLEASE NOT show it to me because I much preferred to shoot something that would be my own creation. Even as she described what she was looking for I knew that I had already shot several projects with a similar lighting style back in 1986 or 87.
When her sister heard about our up coming photo session, she didn't want to be left out and asked if I would please make a photo for her as well.
They both turned out nice.
